right after the election, a friend and i were sitting in the local green grocer and i was saying to him, "ya know how there are different areas around the country that have voted to opt out of the provisions of the Patriot Act because they feel that they are in direct violation of the Constitution? well, it would be cool to create different zones where we are able to proclaim that we do not consider ourselves to be under the representative authority of the bush administration. basically this administration is an insane and destructive group of inviduals hell bent on accelerating their own neo-con christian fundamentalist 'apocalypse' and the last thing i want is for them to be shedding this blood in my name."

thus the bushfreezones.com website was born and the project became to allow for individuals to proclaim themselves as apart from this administration and its policies. the list of Bush Administration Related Fiascos (B.A.R.F.) is extensive and my friend and i began the project to try to convince others around the world that not all members of the United States are insane.

all political stripes are welcome to participate. fiscal conservatives who feel that the largest deficit in the history of the nation is a violation of all they believe in are as encouraged to participate as the ultra left leaning politicos.

ultimately, i feel that the only real dialogue happening in US politics is what i call the Green - Libertarian debate. i personally view this as a debate between maximum personal liberties (Libertarianism) and maximum collective liberties (the Green philosophy.) the parameters of this tribe can be broad, but the common focus is that the Bush Administration is wrong on nearly every point.

i do not intend to heavily moderate this tribe. as the old internet axiom says, "you own your own words." let's have some lively debate. if anyone can convince me that the Bush Administration is something other than an administration of fiscally reckless warmongering sociopaths, i will be amazed. to my eyes, they are an abysmal failure and i want to proclaim loudly to the world that George W. Bush is NOT MY PRESIDENT and that his actions (and those of his cronies) are not done in my name.
